Road Safety Pledge – Safer India starts from home, The Road Safety Initiative took the starting leap with the Road Safety Pledge, themed “Safer India starts from home.” CIRT employees collectively took the oath, affirming their unwavering commitment to follow road safety rules. This formal pledge serves as a personal and professional mandate, ensuring that the culture of road safety discussed during the event is carried forward into daily practice.
CIRT celebrated road safety through a unique blend of art and recognition. From the stirring Road Safety Anthem that instil a lasting safety mindset to the heartfelt felicitation of our drivers, the message was clear: safe driving behavior is not just a practice — it is a way of life and is a commendable achievement. Congratulations to our “Heroes of the Road” for leading the way.
The Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) organized a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Programme for its staff.
Dr. Devendra Singh (Director, CIRT) set the tone for the event, emphasizing the institute's commitment to safety excellence and collective responsibility.
Shri Prashant Kakade (Head Technical Directorate and Road Safety) led the awareness session, providing the CIRT Parivar with actionable knowledge to enhance road safety. This initiative reflects CIRT’s mission to lead by example in fostering a safer transport ecosystem, starting with its own members.
CIRT has organized a webinar “Safety requirements for Motor Vehicles intended for carriage of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods” for Industries in Maharashtra in association with the National Safety Council – Maharashtra Chapter.
Shri S N Dhole, Head Technical Secretariat, has spearheaded efforts to enhance safety awareness among industries. This initiative has significantly elevated safety awareness amongst the industry. Crucially, it has bridged the historical gap between regulatory frameworks and practical interpretation with the spirit of the rules.
